Manchester United ‘closely monitoring’ Premier League star who’s available for £60m
Manchester United are reportedly monitoring a Premier League star whose contract contains a £60 million release clause.
Manchester United are looking toward the 2025 summer transfer window as Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS team prepare to add further upgrades to Erik ten Hag‘s squad.
The club have started the season poorly, with the Old Trafford side showing great inconsistencies in front of goal as star players like Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford fail to find a good run of performances.

It is clear that United need to invest further in their squad, and according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, they have been keeping a close eye on Crystal Palace talent Eberechi Eze.
“A lot of clubs are keeping a close eye on Eberechi Eze, with many scouting the player, including Manchester United,” Romano said on his YouTube channel.
“Man United want to invest in a winger in 2025, but they have not decided who it is going to be, so let’s wait and see. But for sure, Eze is one of the players they have been scouting,” he continued.
“There are many others, so I am not saying he is the only one or that he is the priority target.
Further, Romano explained that Eze’s current contract has a release clause of around £60 million. Last campaign, he was a talisman for Palace alongside fellow talent Michael Olise, who has since left for and is shining at Bayern Munich.
“His release clause will still be there in 2025, it is a release clause of around £60 million,” Romano explained.
Eze has three goals and one assist in nine appearances so far this season but is well-known to be one of the best English talents in the Premier League, receiving significant interest from Arsenal last summer.
