Chelsea’s latest move hands Man United big transfer boost in Premier League pursuit
Chelsea’s pending acquisition of Tosin Adarabioyo hands Manchester United a solid boost in their pursuit of Trevoh Chalobah this summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are closing in on signing Fulham centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo, with negotiations now in the “final stages”.
Although Adarabioyo has also been admired by Manchester United, as UtdDistrict revealed in May, Chelsea’s advancement in the deal hands Erik ten Hag‘s club a significant boost in their pursuit of an alternative defender.

Reports on Thursday revealed that United are considering Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah. The club wants to take advantage of the London side’s current financial problems.
The interest has come following Raphaël Varane’s departure. The futures of Jonny Evans, Harry Maguire, and Victor Lindelöf are also in the balance, meaning signing central defenders has become a priority.
Chelsea are said to be willing to sell Chalobah, or alternatively Conor Gallagher, to balance their finances, valuing Chalobah at approximately £25 million.
With Adarabioyo arriving, United will have more leeway in negotiating a potential deal with Chelsea, as they will want to get rid of one of their central defenders as soon as realistically possible.
Manchester United’s recent shift towards recruiting younger talents aligns with Chalobah’s profile, as Sir Jim Ratcliffe is said to have introduced a policy that signings should be under the age of 25 where possible.
