Manchester United have been informed that one of their stars will move on from Old Trafford if Erik ten Hag meets one condition.

Manchester United‘s 2024 transfer window was a whirlwind of activity, making it one of the most eventful in recent memory at Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag added five new first-team players across the summer months: Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui, and Manuel Ugarte.

In parallel, the club saw the departure of key players such as Scott McTominay, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Jadon Sancho, and Mason Greenwood, with the sales generating over £120 million throughout the summer months.

However, although the English window has closed, United may see further outgoing in the coming weeks, with other transfer windows across Europe still active.

One player linked with a move away across the summer is 32-year-old Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, who was slammed for his recent performance against Liverpool.

Although Casemiro played admirably against Fulham and Brighton, he was at fault for two of the three goals Liverpool knocked past André Onana, and in the last few days, has been a target of Turkish club Galatasaray in the previous week.

Although previous reports have stated that Casemiro plans on staying at Old Trafford, according to ESPN, he would leave the club if Ten Hag was to inform him that he has no future under the Dutch manager.

While Ten Hag has publicly continued to back the Brazilian, United signed recruit Ugarte from Paris St. Germain for an initial £42 million. With Toby Collyer also coming through the ranks, Casemiro’s minutes at Old Trafford may become limited.

“He’s a great player,” Ten Hag said of Casemiro last week. “We will continue this season to improve the team and the players.

“He improved and has shown so often that he is a great character. We all have seen great moments from him and him be decisive in midfield. He will show that again and will bounce back.”

The Turkish transfer window does not close until 18 September, meaning this may still be a transfer to watch over the coming weeks.
