Manchester United have so far made three bids this transfer window, and so far all of them have been rejected.

Manchester United are expected to have a busy window this summer, with Erik ten Hag‘s squad needing multiple new signings to create a team that can compete with the best in Europe.

Multiple sales are also expected, with players such as Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho set to leave Old Trafford to make way for new talent.

It is thought that only Rasmus Højlund, Kobbie Mainoo, and Alejandro Garnacho are the only players who will not be sold for any price, although those such as Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot are also expected to stay.

Following the club’s decision to keep Ten Hag at the helm for the foreseeable future, United has started acting swiftly in the market and has already made three bids. The details are below.

Jarrad Branthwaite

United are targeting centre-backs this summer as a priority position, and it has been widely reported that Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite is a major target of INEOS’ this summer, being an English talent with youth and Premier League experience.

It was reported on Thursday evening that the club have already agreed terms with the player on a contract at Old Trafford, but their pursuit of a transfer has so far been moot.

The Athletic have reported that United have made an offer of around £35 million, which Everton are expected to reject.

Leny Yoro

A second defender who is of interest to the club is 18-year-old centre-back Leny Yoro. The Frenchman is thought to be one of the most exciting talents across Europe and is out of contract next summer.

Reports have confirmed that United are taking serious steps in signing Yoro, although they face significant opposition from Liverpool, Real Madrid, and PSG.

Further news from Spain two weeks ago claimed that United had tabled a bid of around £50 million for the player, which was rejected. However, it is thought that this was not far off Lille’s evaluation of the player.

Joao Neves

The third player who United have reportedly bid for this summer is Portuguese midfielder Joao Neves, who is currently on international duty alongside Fernandes and Dalot.

Journalist from Portugal have confirmed that a £51 million offer was placed via his agent, Jorge Mendes, but that Benfica rejected the bid. Neves has an £85 million release clause.
