Manchester United eyeing Real Madrid star in the coming days, he’s a “Swiss Army Knife” attacker
Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a January transfer for one of Real Madrid’s front line as Rúben Amorim looks to add attacking reinforcements.
Manchester United are prioritising attacking reinforcements as Rúben Amorim’s side continue to struggle with goal-scoring inefficiency.
United’s inability to score more than once in most matches has become a recurring issue this season, with their home form at Old Trafford proving particularly disappointing.
Uncertainty over the futures of key forwards such as Joshua Zirkzee, Marcus Rashford, and Alejandro Garnacho has heightened the urgency to strengthen the squad ahead of the summer transfer window.
Although financial constraints pose a challenge, Amorim is expected to press the board to deliver fresh attacking options capable of revitalising United’s underperforming front line.
United’s eyeing Real Madrid star for their front line
If various reports from Italy are to be believed, Garnacho is edging closer to a move to Napoli by the end of this month, with United needing to raise funds in order to sign new players.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, one of the new players United are looking at bringing in is Real Madrid star Brahim Diaz, who the club see as “a top reinforcement” that’s available on the market.
The report states that Amorim’s club are set to prepare “a significant offer” for the 25-year-old Moroccan international as they see him as an ideal player to bring fresh creativity to the front line.
United are said to appreciate how Diaz is able to work well in tight spaces, a trait many of their current players lack, and that talks may accelerate in the coming days.
The big choice Diaz has to make this week
The Malaga-born player has a big decision he must make in the next few days.
The player, who has previously been described as a “Swiss Army Knife“-type attacker, is competing with the likes of Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr., Kylian Mbappe, and Rodrygo for attacking positions, and has only started seven of his 15 appearances in La Liga this campaign.
Signing for United would give him a chance to thrive at a club where he may be more appreciated and be afforded more consistent game time in the biggest league in the world.
Having grown up within Manchester City’s academy, he knows the city well, and after five years at Real Madrid, he must choose whether to continue to try and compete with the superstar names, or return to England and embark on a new challenge under Amorim.
