Manchester United man told to ‘rejoin former club’ as INEOS set transfer price
Manchester United forward Antony has been told to return to his former club, Ajax, as INEOS set their asking price for the Brazilian winger.
Antony‘s time at Manchester United has not gone according to plan since the winger arrived at the club for an £85 million fee at Erik ten Hag‘s request.
Having worked with the Brazilian at Ajax, the Dutch manager was adamant that he would continue to develop and grow into a deadly right winger, but this has failed to come to fruition.

The 24-year-old is now fourth-choice on either wing behind Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, and Amad Diallo and has been pinpointed as a man that the club will need to get rid of as soon as possible.
Antony’s price set
According to reports, United have set a £40 million price tag on Antony, meaning they will lose at least £45 million on the player once he departs Old Trafford for pastures beyond.
In addition, it has been said that United would be open to allowing the player to leave the club on loan in January to get game time, hopefully driving up his price tag and increasing interest in a future sale.
Claims have been made that both Crystal Palace and Newcastle have the right-winger on their radar as they look to increase their attacking depth in the coming months.
However, there have also been rumours that Antony’s best move may be to return to Ajax, where he made a name for himself across Europe as a teenager after moving from Sao Paulo.
Antony should head to Ajax
Former United defender Paul Parker has weighed in on the situation, explaining that he does not see either Palace or Newcastle acting on their interest and that Antony should seriously consider a return to the Netherlands.
“I’m not seeing Newcastle or Palace being interested in him unless they’re going to virtually be given him by United,” Parker explained. “They may see value in that. I just don’t want to see him turn out like a Van de Beek.
“It would be best for him to go back home, and his home is Ajax. That’s where he had a lot of success and where his name was made. I’m not seeing Newcastle, and Palace financially doesn’t work.”
He continued: “I just don’t think he’s good enough. He hasn’t got the physicality, and it’s less to do with muscle and size and more to do with presence and strength comes from within, but he doesn’t play that way.
“He plays like someone with a small stature, rounded shoulders, and doesn’t stand up with belief in himself.
“For someone with a left foot, he’s got one of the worst left foots I’ve seen, and left-footers are normally always talented. They’re either really talented or they’ve got a rocket of a left foot, and he just lacks any strength in his left foot.
“He struggles with power. Technique he struggles with. It just hasn’t worked, and I don’t see anything materialising for him now.”
