Rúben Amorim has chosen to select Sekou Kone as Manchester United travel to face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Manchester United return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon with a high-stakes encounter against Tottenham Hotspur in North London.

The two sides have already played out a dramatic clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season, with Spurs edging a thrilling 4-3 contest to send Rúben Amorim’s men crashing out of the Carabao Cup. Now, they meet again with both clubs in desperate need of a result to revive their struggling campaigns.

United and Spurs have endured a turbulent season, sitting 13th and 14th in the table respectively, with just two points separating them. Given their ambitions, both sides know they cannot afford another setback as they attempt to claw their way back up the table.

For Amorim, Sunday’s fixture is another opportunity to impose his vision and build momentum, while Postecoglou faces increasing pressure, with Spurs fans growing restless over their team’s decline.

With pride, points, and managerial scrutiny all on the line, this showdown in North London has all the makings of a fiercely contested battle.

Amorim squad selection vs Tottenham

Some of the faces Amorim has selected to travel to face Tottenham are the usual suspects, with Joshua Zirkzee, Rasmus Højlund, and Diogo Dalot all confirmed to be part of the squad as per the Manchester Evening News.

However, after Kobbie Mainoo was ruled out through injury and Amad potentially out for the season with an ankle issue, Manuel Ugarte and Toby Collyer have also not travelled with the latter ill, leaving Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, and Christian Eriksen as the only possible senior midfielders in the squad.

Despite this, many fans will be happy to see that midfielder Jack Moorhouse has travelled with the first team to Tottenham for Sunday afternoon.

Moorhouse has yet to be included in any matchday squads for United’s first-team but has played seven times for the club’s Premier League 2 side and has scored three goals, leading many fans to hope he has first-team experience before the end of the campaign.

Amorim has also chosen to include further Academy players Sekou Kone, Chido Obi, Elyh Harrison, and Harry Amass, with it being the first time Kone and Obi have been involved in a senior squad since they signed for the club late last year.

Below is a list of the players who are confirmed to have travelled, as per various reports. It must be noted that only 15 players are currently listed and that this article will be updated as more are confirmed, with those such as André Onana and Eriksen likely part of the squad.
