Manchester United staff think starlet has “extremely high ceiling” and could become an Old Trafford superstar
According to reports, Manchester United staff believe Alejandro Garnacho could become an Old Trafford superstar following his training at Carrington.
Alejandro Garnacho has been a revelation at Manchester United since he debuted for the club under Erik ten Hag during the 2022/23 season.
Arriving from Atletico Madrid in October 2020, Garnacho quickly made waves within the academy, signing his first professional contract at Old Trafford in July 2021.

He then became a pivotal player within the U18s side that won the FA Youth Cup in 2022. Later that year, he made his debut and has not looked back since.
Garnacho is establishing himself as one of the finest attacking talents in the Premier League. He has already been involved in seven goals in this campaign and is cementing himself well within Ten Hag’s most potent players.
Garnacho’s next step is to embed himself entirely within the United squad, and according to journalist Ben Jacobs, staff at Carrington feel he may be able to do just that.
“I don’t think Erik ten Hag yet has a fixed or ‘strongest’ starting XI. What is clear is that he has never lost faith in Marcus Rashford. Joshua Zirkzee was signed as a starter,” Jacobs told GiveMeSport.
“The advantage he has is Manchester United know he can play effectively anywhere across the front line. And I think as the season goes on, we’ll see Alejandro Garnacho start a number of big games.
“The feeling I get from Carrington sources is he’s training at a very high level and has an extremely high ceiling.”
Garnacho is currently competing for the right-wing position with fellow younger Amad Diallo while also battling with Marcus Rahsford for the left-sided spot.
The competition within the squad is something Erik ten Hag has been very keen on building, and so far, it has pushed Garnacho to continue to make himself better and better as time goes on.
Alongside Kobbie Mainoo, Garnacho represents the very best that the Carrington Academy has to offer.
