Manchester United have added a PSG superstar to their shortlist of Left-wing recruits as a huge transfer could be in the works.
Manchester United invested greatly in their attacking output in the summer of 2025 with the arrivals of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Šeško completing a full offensive takeover.
Cunha in particular was often viewed as the perfect system player for former boss Ruben Amorim, who insisted on playing his 3-4-2-1 structure with no out-and-out wingers, allowing the Brazilian to slot in as United’s left-forward.
Amorim’s dismissal in January 2026 has raised questions among the United fanbase about who is the best fit for the left-wing slot.
Interim manager Michael Carrick unleashed the best out of Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu who saw a run of great form scoring against Arsenal and Manchester City from the left-wing position, but his time was cut short after suffering a hamstring injury, sidelining the 21-year-old since the end of January.
In the search for the long term solution, United have made their interest known for one PSG star who could set the Premier League alight.
Man Utd add Barcola to attacking shortlist
According to Ekrem Konur on X, Man United have added PSG’s Bradley Barcola to their shortlist of attackers as the potential long-term Marcus Rashford replacement as a more pure left-winger.
This comes as Rashford edges closer to a permanent move to Barcelona following his successful loan spell so far this season.
Barcola is described as “one of the most notable replacements” with his clear ability to make dangerous runs in behind.
This is an aspect which United have found great joy with under Carrick with the likes of Amad and Mbeumo darting through defences beating offside traps with United playing more free-flowing football under the former Middlesborough manager.
Barcola provides the attacking width that United could optimise, with the 23-year-old also excelling at isolating his man and being direct, taking on players and utilising his electric pace to carry the ball.

Barcola contrasts United’s recent transfer strategies
Recent history’s shown United’s more successful transfers coming in the form of experienced proven players such as Cunha and Mbeumo.
Alternatively, United have opted for low risk options who aren’t necessarily proven in the Premier League with the likes of Ayden Heaven, Dorgu and Noussair Mazraoui proving to be successes so far at Old Trafford.

Barcola only signed for PSG in 2023, where he has currently totalled 36 goals and 34 assists as well as securing a Champions League title to his name last season.
The Frenchman would be a more risky signing for United, particularly with his assumed high price tag due to his current market value of over £60 million according to Transfermarkt.
In the meantime, Man United will keep their focus on securing Champions League football, as they face fellow top five competitors Aston Villa at Old Trafford Sunday. Playing in the Champions League could be the deciding factor in United’s pursue for transfer targets over the summer.
