Manchester United’s 29-man senior squad confirmed as four youngsters promoted
Manchester United have seen four of their academy products promoted to Erik ten Hag’s first-team as their 2024/25 senior squad is confirmed.
Manchester United concluded the 2024 summer transfer window by announcing the deadline-day signing of Manuel Ugarte on an initial £42 million transfer from Paris St. Germain.
Erik ten Hag also added another four signings to his squad, with Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui all joining the Old Trafford outfit.

However, the club also made a big point to shift on multiple players. High-profile stars such as Scott McTominay, Jadon Sancho, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka were all moved on.
Some who were on loan last season, such as Facundo Pellistri and Donny van de Beek, also secured permanent moves away.
Multiple academy graduates, including Mason Greenwood, Willy Kambwala, and Will Fish, also left United, representing pure profit on the team’s accounting books.
United have a long history of promoting youth players to the first team, often allowing youngsters to join in with the majority of first-team training sessions and some senior matchday squads while still playing for the academy sides.
This summer, Ten Hag has chosen to promote four of the club’s brightest young talents: striker Ethan Wheatley, midfielders Toby Collyer and Dan Gore, and left-back Harry Amass.
This quartet follows in the footsteps of Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo, who cemented themselves as part of Ten Hag’s main squad last campaign with their stellar performances.
According to the club’s website, below are the 29 players who have been listed as part of Ten Hag’s senior squad for the 2024/25 campaign.
