Manchester United make Marcus Rashford January transfer decision as three players futures’ decided
Manchester United have reportedly made a new decision surrounding the future of Marcus Rashford during the January transfer window under Rúben Amorim.
Marcus Rashford is expected to leave Manchester United in 2025 after a revealing interview confirmed the 27-year-old’s intention to seek a fresh challenge.
Once a key figure in United’s attack, Rashford hit his peak with a 30-goal season under Erik ten Hag in 2022/23 but has struggled to maintain that level. Under Rúben Amorim, he has slipped down the pecking order, with Amad Diallo and Bruno Fernandes now preferred in attacking positions.
Rashford’s journey with United spans nearly two decades, starting as a youth player before making a memorable first-team debut at 18. His two goals against FC Midtjylland in the Europa League and a brace against Arsenal in his Premier League debut announced him as a star of the future.
Reports suggest United are willing to entertain offers of around £40 million, paving the way for Rashford to leave Old Trafford and begin the next chapter of his career.
United make January trasnfer deiciosn
According to a new report from GiveMeSport, although a permanent deal for Rashford is United’s ideal solution, they have now decided that they would allow the player to leave on loan in January
This is a move that has reportedly also been sanctioned by Amorim, who wants to make his mark through alterations of his United squad in January.
A loan move may end up being the best solution for all parties. When Jadon Sancho was sidelined last season, his six-month loan move to Borussia Dortmund helped convince Chelsea to agree a loan with an obligation to buy of £25 million for the player.
Rashford’s stock has fallen, and the United winger heading out on loan for the rest of the season may help the player rediscover his form and raise his value ahead of the summer window, which would be of great benefit to both parties.
Two other players also available for loan
The report furthre states that both Victor Lindelöf and Antony are also available for loan moves.
Antony is thought to be gathering interest from La Liga side Real Betis, although there may come a sticking point in negotiations as his £190,000 a week wage must be split between the two clubs.

Lindelöf is out of contract in the summer and has little role to play under Amorim, but going on loan would help United shift up to £120,000 a week of their wage books in order to bring in new January recruits.
Amad Diallo, Harry Maguire, Christian Eriksen, Tom Heaton, and Jonny Evans are all seeing their United contract expire in 2025. However, the former two are expected to stay beyond the summer, with Amad close to signing a new long-term contract.
