Manchester United have been linked with both an £86million winger, as well as a £40million winger as possible Marcus Rashford replacements, with the winger expected to depart.
The past couple of seasons have been tough for Marcus Rashford, with the Englishman seemingly falling out with his boyhood club, Manchester United.
The 28-year-old was sent out on a six-month loan to fellow Premier League side Aston Villa following the arrival of Ruben Amorim, although a permanent transfer never materialised.
The United winger was then sent on a season-long loan to FC Barcelona, where La Blaugrana have an option to make the move permanent for £26million.
Despite a change in management, with Michael Carrick now at the helm, it appears as if Rashford’s United career is over, with two exciting replacements reportedly being lined up.
Diomande a potential Rashford replacement
As reported by TEAMtalk, one name who has strongly emerged as an option for the Red Devils is Yan Diomande, who currently plays his football for RB Leipzig.
The Ivorian winger has impressed in his debut seasonin Germany, scoring eight goals and assisting a further six in only 21 appearances across all competitions.
It is understood that the 19-year-old could cost as much as £86million in the summer for the Reds, which may leave them to look for a cheaper alternative.
As for an alternative, the Reds are reportedly also looking towards Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye as a target from within the Premier League.
Ndiaye, who has impressed for large parts of this season for Everton, could be available for a fee in the region of £39million, although the Toffees will almost certainly demand a higher fee if they are to sell to a fellow Premier League side.
Rashford set for pastures new
TEAMtalk also understand that, as for Rashford, his time at Old Trafford is as good as over, with there seemingly being no way back for the English winger.
Graeme Bailey said that Rashford “has not spoken to anyone at Manchester United about the possibility of returning to Old Trafford, despite ongoing negotiations between the two clubs over his long‑term future.

“Senior United sources insist that nobody at the club – including interim boss Michael Carrick – has contacted Rashford regarding a comeback. The message from the player’s camp is equally clear: Rashford has no intention of returning to Manchester and remains fully committed to Barcelona.”
Regarding a Rashford replacement, although Diomande may be the more exciting option, with more raw potential, Ndiaye would suit what has worked previously for the Reds, as he is a Premier League-proven, mature winger.
