Man United starlet “plays without fear”, says gushing World Cup winner
Arsenal icon Cesc Fabregas has been gushing about Kobbie Mainoo following the Manchester United starlet’s rise to fame.
Kobbie Mainoo, 18, has emerged into Erik ten Hag‘s squad this term and quickly become one of the Old Trafford team’s most important players.
His skillset in the midfield is crucial as he offers many attributes that none of Manchester United‘s players have in their arsenal.

Cesc Fabregas, who made his debut in the Premier League at just 16, knows a thing or two about playing at a young age. He had nothing but kind words about Mainoo.
He is the present
Fabregas has explained that he feels Mainoo is not just a great player for the future, but is already showing himself to be a “brilliant” player at present.
“He’s not only the future, in my opinion, but he’s the present already,” Fabregas said on the Planet Football podcast. “He can make a real difference.
“He’s got a fantastic personality [it’s] like he’s been playing for a long time. To help him in the summer, they need to recruit players who can gain this quality on the pitch to make him more brilliant than what he is.
“With these talented players, the better quality they get around him, the better they get. So I am expecting a big summer transfer window for Manchester United… but next season, he needs to be a key player no matter what.”
