Manchester United have seemingly made different decisions about Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood’s pre-seasons as the players return to Carrington.
INEOS are looking to offload as many fringe and outcast players as possible this summer, with Manchester United needing to raise significant funds for the 2024 transfer market.
Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho are almost certain to leave following their respective exiles from the club last season. Other players, such as Scott McTominay and Harry Maguire, might also depart Erik ten Hag‘s squad.

The futures of the first two players, Sancho and Greenwood, are almost certainly ending in permanent sales away from the club. However, before that can be resolved, a more immediate decision on the pair must be made with the squad returning for pre-season training on Monday.
According to The Athletic, Greenwood is likely to be given extra time off as the club try and find a solution for his future.
Greenwood has not been at Carrington since his arrest in January 2022 following allegations of attempted rape, assault, and coercive control, and the club want to sell him – Marseille and Lazio are in advanced talks.
Meanwhile, United have decided not to make the same decision with Sancho. Despite his exile from Ten Hag’s first team last season, he is expected to return to Carrington on Monday morning following the end of his Borussia Dortmund loan.
It is currently unclear if “clear-the-air” talks will be held between Sancho and Ten Hag, but Sancho’s return “is viewed as a chance to turn over a new leaf and revive his Old Trafford career”.
