Mount, Shaw, Evans – Man United early injury news vs West Ham as multiple updates issued
Manchester United have issued updates on the fitness of multiple players during the last week as Erik ten Hag prepares his side to face West Ham.
Manchester United are set to resume their Premier League campaign with an away clash against West Ham.
Despite their recent 2-1 victory over Brentford, United remain in 12th place in the league, increasing the pressure on Erik ten Hag.

Their preparations follow a 1-1 draw with Fenerbahce in the Europa League, leaving them with only a two-day turnaround before Sunday’s afternoon kickoff against West Ham.
This fixture will be Ten Hag’s ninth league match of the season, with United having secured three wins, suffered three losses, and drawn twice so far.
Injury latest
United travelled to the Fenerbahce fixture with ten first-team squad members out. As the club announced this week, Leny Yoro and Tyrell Malacia are back training on grass but are still weeks away from returning to action.
During the club’s training session on Wednesday afternoon, Luke Shaw was spotted training on grass for the first time in months, but he is not expected back until early next month.
As for Harry Maguire, he admitted earlier this month that he would be out for “a few weeks” following an injury against Aston Villa, but it is not known when he will return.
In the midfield, Kobbie Mainoo is confirmed to be out until mid-November with a hamstring issue, while youngsters Toby Collyer and Dan Gore are both unavailable, but their return dates have yet to be confirmed.
Finally, Mason Mount has seen a delay in his return to fitness. He has not featured since the end of September, and although Ten Hag recently confirmed the 25-year-old will be back “soon,” he also explained that there had been a bit of a delay in his recovery.
In attack, there is a new injury to consider, as Brazilian winger Antony had to be submitted after just a 10-minute cameo following a blow to his leg. He was spotted exiting the stadium in Istanbul with a boot and on crutches.
Fitness positives
In positive news, United rested Rasmus Højlund, keeping him fresh for the upcoming trip against the Hammers. The Danish striker played 35 minutes against Porto as he continues to build his fitness following a two-month hamstring problem.
Jonny Evans was not spotted in training on Wednesday afternoon and missed the squad that played in Istanbul, but Ten Hag explained that he hopes Evans will make the squad that faces West Ham.
Bruno Fernandes will also return to the side after serving a one-match ban in the Europa League due to a red card he received against FC Porto earlier this month.
“We’re staying overnight [in Turkey] and then straight to London, training Saturday,” Erik confirmed on Thursday evening.
“We expect, of course, Bruno back and, hopefully, also Jonny Evans.”
