All the latest Manchester United injury updates as Rúben Amorim prepares his side to face Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup quarter-final.

Rúben Amorim is set to lead Manchester United into his first domestic cup showdown, as they prepare to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup on Thursday evening.

United come into the match full of confidence after a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory over Manchester City, with Amad Diallo stealing the show in the dying moments at the Etihad.

Although Amorim’s primary focus remains on the Premier League and Europa League, the Portuguese manager will be eager to keep his side’s momentum going with a strong performance in North London against Ange Postecoglou’s unpredictable Spurs.

Tottenham, meanwhile, will approach the tie with renewed confidence following a commanding 5-0 triumph over Southampton at the weekend.

Latest injury news

The biggest piece of team news to come out of United ahead of the game is that Noussair Mazraoui was fit to travel after he was seen limping following the club’s win over Man City on the weekend.

Mazraoui has been named as part of United’s 22-man travelling squad to London, while winger Marcus Rashford has missed out for the second fixture in a row.

Although many have linked his absence to the recent comments made where he admitted he may leave the club in 2025, it is just as likely that it comes as a result of being sent home early from training on Monday due to illness.

United are also missing Luke Shaw and Mason Mount from the squad, who have both suffered recent set-backs just weeks after returning from previous injuries. Shaw is expected back before the end of the month, while there is little information available about Mount.

“Mason Mount is not available,” Ruben stated to MUTV when asked about the side’s injury news. “He has an injury. Nous [Mazraoui], we will see today. The rest of the squad are ready to play the game.

“We have to asses all the players and try not to get a lot of injuries. If we do that, we’ll be stronger in these kind of moments.”

United’s squad also welcome returns for Alejandro Garnacho and Jonny Evans, both of whom missed the derby win over Man City due to selection reasons.
