Manchester United have ‘already agreed’ £50m summer transfer for “stunning” winger Rúben Amorim loves
According to a new report from Portugal, Manchester United have already agreed a summer transfer for a “stunning” star as a £50 million bid is prepared.
Manchester United are looking to strengthen their attack as Rúben Amorim’s side continue to struggle in front of goal.
United’s lack of cutting edge has been a major concern this season, with the team often failing to score more than once in a match. Their home form at Old Trafford has been particularly disappointing, adding to the pressure for reinforcements.
With the long-term futures of Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Alejandro Garnacho uncertain, the need to bolster the forward line has become a priority ahead of the summer transfer window.
Despite financial constraints, Amorim is expected to push the club’s hierarchy to invest in fresh attacking talent to address United’s goal-scoring issues and improve their frontline.
United have already agreed Quenda transfer
When Amorim initially signed for United, there were many rumours as to who he might try and bring with him from his incredibly talented Sporting CP side, with Viktor Gyökeres the name on most people’s lips.
However, a new report from the Portuguese Outlet ABola, United have already agreed a deal to sign 17-year-old winger Geovany Quenda from the Liga Portugal side in the summer.
According to the report, United’s interest in Quenda pre-dates Amorim’s arrival, and that with a deal unlikely to be struck in the winter window, United will sign him in the summer.
It is said that Sporting are now preparing for a bid of around £50 million and that the transfer has already been assured.
Amorim and Quenda have a fantastic relationship
Despite Quenda being just 17, he and Amorim are known to have a very special coach-player relationship.
Many English fans will have watched Quenda in action as he played brilliantly during one of Amorim’s final games for Sporting after they dismantled Manchester City 4-1 in the Champions League in November.
This came after he debuted for Sporting in August, scoring a “stunning” goal against FC Porto in the Portuguese Super Cup final.
Quenda also left the 40-year-old a very touching message when Amorim departed Portugal, with the teenager having made 18 appearances under the coach before he left.
“Thank you for believing in me and letting me play for the club I love, a big hug and good luck in the future, mister,” wrote Quenda on Instagram.
