Manchester United confirm seven free transfers in full squad statement
In a club statement, Manchester United have confirmed that seven of the club’s players will be available to leave Old Trafford for free this summer.
With the end of June fast approaching, this signals both the start of the summer transfer window and the official list of professional players who are out of contract and able to sign for any club that offers them a deal without any transfer fee being involved.
On Wednesday morning, Manchester United announced their official retained list to the Premier League and confirmed that seven players are currently set to depart from the club for free at the end of the month.

The club have confirmed that seven players, Anthony Martial, Raphaël Varane, Brandon Williams, Charlie McNeill, Marcus Lawrence, Kie Plumley, and player-coach Tom Huddlestone, will all leave for free this summer.
However, the club also confirmed in a statement that some who will be out of contract, such as Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton, could still sign a new contract and remain at Old Trafford, while there is still hope Omari Forson may accept a new deal.
“Discussions remain open with Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton over potential new contracts while Omari Forson has formally been offered a new deal,” the club said.
“Discussions remain open with Shola Shoretire over a potential new contract.”
