According to reports, Manchester United players now think Erik ten Hag’s fate at Old Trafford has already been sealed following a 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace.

Monday night witnessed what could potentially be Manchester United‘s most devastating defeat this season, as the team suffered a dismal 4-0 loss against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Lacklustre performances from players like  Casemiro and Jonny Evans allowed Michael Olise, Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Eberechi Eze to thoroughly outshine a vulnerable United defence, resulting in Erik ten Hag‘s squad conceding four goals.

With only three league matches remaining against Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Brighton, in addition to an upcoming FA Cup final clash at Wembley Stadium against Manchester City, concerns arise that United might endure defeat in all four of their remaining fixtures.

Although some feel that such results would spell the end for Erik ten Hag, reports have emerged that claim some players feel he is already on his way out.

Ten Hag’s fate sealed?

According to a report from the Telegraph, A number of the club’s players believe Erik ten Hag’s fate is “effectively sealed” at Old Trafford following the 4-0 loss against Crystal Palace.

Although the report states that insiders at the club have stressed no decision will be made until after the FA Cup final against Manchester City, some in the dressing room think Ten Hag will certainly leave this summer.

As it stands, United have no intension of sacking Ten Hag, but his position is far from certain under INEOS.

“I will keep fighting,” A clearly passionate Ten Hag said following the defeat. “I prepared the team in the best way I could do and it was not good enough, by far not good enough.

“I have to take the responsibility for that, but I will find the energy and I will prepare them for Sunday’s game.”
