Manchester United confirm Erik ten Hag’s XI to face Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-final
Manchester United confirm that Erik ten Hag has selected Casemiro to start alongside Harry Maguire as they face Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-final.
Manchester United‘s defending department has been depleted even further following Saturday’s announcement that Willy Kambwala had sustained an injury in training.
This makes Erik ten Hag‘s seventh defender unavailable to face Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-final, meaning the Dutchman has decided to start Casemiro alongside Harry Maguire.

“The critics don’t concern me. What concerns me is only having a full squad to choose from once in 18 months,” Ten Hag told reporters on Friday afternoon.
“I know when you have so many injuries as we have had, and in crucial key positions, you can’t deliver the results you want to bring, and that is, yeah, okay, but this is my truth. Others can have different truths, but I can’t put energy in that.”
