Man United vs Bournemouth training – Three things noticed as two players return and four youngsters involved
Manchester United released Carrington training footage ahead of their Premier League clash against Bournemouth on the weekend.
The Reds are coming from a positive result and performance against Chelsea and will be aiming to replicate that display at Old Trafford again on the weekend.
Ahead of that Bournemouth clash, several interesting things were spotted during the latest training session, after the club released images from Carrignton.
Amad and Varane feature
Amad Diallo has now returned to full training with the first team following a knee injury that he sustained in pre-season and will provide meaningful depth to the right-wing position for Erik ten Hag.
Meanwhile, Raphael Varane was spotted with the squad at Carrington following a ‘sore back’ keeping him out of the win against Chelsea on Wednesday evening.
Rashford in good spirits despite form
Marcus Rashford was seen in good spirits ahead of the clash against Bournemouth at Old Trafford. The winger was dropped to the bench last time out against Chelsea following a poor performance against Newcastle in the prior game.
He is expected to remain amongst the substitutes on the weekend but could appear in the second half again.
Four youngsters involved
With the likes of Kobbie Mainoo, Hannibal Mejbri, Dan Gore, and Alejandro Garnacho were several other academy graduates. The quartet of Shola Shoretire, Maxi Oyedele, Sam Murray and Willy Kambwala were involved in the latest training session at Carrington.
Shoretire has been excelling in the under-21s, with nine-goal contributions in 10 appearances. Oyedele and Murray come back into the fold as well, whilst Kambwala joins in yet again as he continues to perform well this term.
