One Manchester United starlet has already explained the reason why he is set to leave the club in the summer transfer window.

The Reds are still expected to make several moves in the final days of the transfer window, including the signing of Manuel Ugarte.

However, several more exits are also set to be confirmed to follow the likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Willy Kambwala and Mason Greenwood.

Scott McTominay looks set to join Italian side Napoli after they agreed a £25 million fee with United for the midfielder.

Another player who is closing in on his permanent departure from Old Trafford is Hannibal Mejbri, with Burnley set to sign the 21-year-old Tunisian.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Reds have reached an agreement with the Championship club for the sale of Hannibal, with a sell-on clause included in the deal.

Reports elsewhere have claimed that Hannibal conducted his Burnley medical on Monday evening, and the reason for his departure is clear.

In a recent interview, Hannibal explained that, after two loan spells, he is now at a point in his career where he no longer wants to sit on the bench.

With United set to sign Ugarte, that is another player who would be ahead of Hannibal in the pecking order at Old Trafford.

“I did good and felt progress at Birmingham. You progress when you get game time. When you play every week, it’s hard to go back to the bench,” he told The National.

“Last season was OK when I was at United, but I felt I could have had a little bit more game time after the Brighton game when I scored. As a player you always want more, so I decided to go on loan to Sevilla. I experienced a lot of things there.

“As a footballer, I just want to play and show myself. Every player will say the same. I’m tired of sitting on a bench watching others play.”
