“Going to change things…” Man United star opens up on conversations with INEOS
One Manchester United star has opened up on his positive conversations with the new ownership INEOS.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team are starting to make major changes at United behind the scenes and are also expected to be busy in the summer transfer market.
Jason Wilcox has come into the club as the new technical director, while Omar Berrada will take over as chief executive in the coming months ahead of next season.
Dan Ashworth coming in as sporting director is expected to take slightly longer but he will be another important addition to the team.
United right-back Diogo Dalot has explained that he and the squad have spoken with the INEOS chiefs and is impressed with what he has heard from them.
Speaking in an interview with United We Stand, Dalot said on the meeting: “It was a hopeful moment. I think they know what they are doing and I think they are going to change things that needed to change at the club.”

The defender has arguably been the club’s Player of the Year this term despite an underwhelming season overall.
“It’s been a difficult campaign,” Dalot added when speaking to FourFourTwo. “But I’m more hopeful than in the past, especially after the meeting with the new co-owners.
“They’re here to help us, they have a good vision for the future and I feel like we can achieve good things. I want to be a part of getting Man United back to the top. I couldn’t leave this place without feeling that United are winning once again.
“Last season, we had a taste with the League Cup – winning that was my high point so far at United. But that’s not enough for a club like this. Even if you win four titles in one season, there’s pressure to do the same again the next.”
