“Matter of time…” – Manchester United staff are optimistic that Ruben Amorim will promote “incredible” starlet

Ruben Amorim has begun integrating several young talents into Manchester United’s first-team squad in recent weeks.
Manchester United have struggled this season under Ruben Amorim, with injuries further complicating their campaign.
In recent weeks, the squad’s depth has been so impacted by injuries that multiple Academy prospects have had to step up.
Jack Fletcher, Sekou Kone, Jack Moorhouse, and Tyler Fredricson have all joined first-team training and were named on the bench against Spurs last month.
Meanwhile, Chido Obi has now made three first-team appearances, and there are growing calls for him to start ahead of Rasmus Højlund up front in the coming weeks.
United staff optimistic Amorim will promote Kamason
One of the biggest problems at United right now is their lack of options at wingback. Patrick Dorgu helped that when he joined in January.
However, losing Amad to injury for the rest of the season has continued the issue, with there being no obvious option at right wingback. Both Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui do not fit the position.
Jaydan Kamason is an attacking fullback in the Academy that some fans believe could be a potential solution to this problem and he has been in fine form this term.
The 18-year-old has two goals and six assists so far this season, including a stunning goal to help United win against Arsenal U18s in the FA Youth Cup last week.
The defender is very attacking-minded and has the ability to beat a man and deliver a cross – attributes missing in the first-team currently.
Amid the teenager’s fine form, a report from MailSport has claimed that United staff are growing more and more optimistic that he could be promoted to the first-team.
It was explained that with Amorim’s side struggling in wide areas, they believe it is only a matter of time until he is in the Portuguese head coach’s thoughts.
United could use Academy talents to fill squad gaps
United have to look and take advantage of the young stars in their Academy in the coming months and years, and that doesn’t necessarily mean only bringing through the absolute best talents.
Other players in the Academy setup can start helping the team with depth and providing options in different positions.

Amorim does not have an unlimited summer fund and cannot plug all of the gaps within the United squad, so bringing through young talents could be a great way to help allow significant funds to be focused on priority positions.
Right now, there is very little for United to play for in the Premier League. They will not get relegated and are far too distant from European qualification spots. Players like Kamason could be tested to see if they’re ready to contribute.
