Man United move forward with deal for versatile star, two big problems would be solved
Manchester United have reportedly moved forward with a deal for one versatile star who could solve two big problems at Old Trafford.
The Reds have made two signings so far this summer. Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee addressed two key areas for Erik ten Hag’s squad.
But more movement is needed ahead of the window’s deadline at the end of the month. United are hoping to improve their squad in a variety of positions.
According to reliable Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, the Reds have met with the representatives of Fenerbahçe fullback Ferdi Kadıoğlu.
The Premier League outfit have asked about the contract terms the 24-year-old would demand from them in case they can find an agreement with Fenerbahçe over a transfer fee.
Kadıoğlu played the majority of the 2023/24 campaign at left-back, but he is well-versed in a number of different positions on the pitch.
He has played on either wing, at right-back and in the midfield throughout his career so far. For the Reds, he would be extremely useful to have at both fullback positions.
Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are both injury concerns on the left, while young Harry Amass cannot be completely relied upon right now.
Meanwhile, Diogo Dalot will likely soon be joined by Noussair Mazraoui on the right side, but the Moroccon also has a concerning injury history.
Kadıoğlu would be a brilliant addition for the right price as he would help solve the two potential problems at both fullback areas, as well as being able to provide further depth in other positions as well.
