Man United confirm Harry Maguire, Mason Mount, and Christian Eriksen injury updates
Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Harry Maguire be out for the fixture against Liverpool but that his injury is not a long one.
Harry Maguire was forced off through injury as Manchester United lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich on Tuesday evening, with the player suffering what appeared to be a groin problem in the first half.
Erik ten Hag has struggled with injury problems this campaign, grossly affecting his side’s continuity and therefore results, with Luke Shaw also being withdrawn at half-time due to a hamstring issue.

Speaking to club media ahead of the pending game against Liverpool, Ten Hag was asked for updates on both Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw – confirming that Maguire will be out for ‘not a long time’, with Shaw likely available against Liverpool.
“Yes, so, Harry Maguire; he’s out for the weekend,” he said. “I don’t think for a very long time, I think he will work very hard to get back as soon as possible. And Luke Shaw; he trained this morning, and so I’m confident he will be available for the weekend.”
Further pressed on the fitness of other players such as Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, he continued: “Martial is not available for the weekend, but Rashy, he’s also back in training, and I think he’s ready to play.”
Finally, he was also asked if any other players were close to a return. Lisandro Martínez, Casemiro, and Tyrell Malacia are all out until the new year, but there are yet to be updates on either Mason Mount or Christian Eriksen.
Ten Hag confirmed in the interview that neither player is close to making a return ahead of the busy festive period.
