Maguire, Cunha, Šeško: Man Utd injury news and return dates vs Crystal Palace (Premier League)

Rúben Amorim has three injury concerns as he prepares his Manchester United side to face Crystal Palace in a key Premier League fixture this weekend.

Manchester United are finishing their November fixtures with a tough away trip to Crystal Palace for a Sunday lunchtime Premier League kick-off.

Having been on a five-game unbeaten run, Rúben Amorim’s Reds fell to a dismal 1-0 loss against Everton on Monday evening, despite David Moyes’ men having a man sent off within 15 minutes.

During a weekend when United could have risen as high as fourth in the Premier League table, the loss at Old Trafford sees the club sit 10th, level on points with Tottenham, Everton, and Liverpool.

However, they remain just three points off Aston Villa in fourth, with congestion in the table giving hope to all clubs between fifth and 12th that Champions League spots are still up for grabs.

Amorim has a few injury concerns to contend with as he prepares his side to face Oliver Glasner’s men.

Harry Maguire

What happened: Harry Maguire was taken off against Tottenham in the 72nd minute with a hamstring injury at the beginning of the month.

What was said: Speaking last Friday ahead of the Everton loss, Amorim stated that Maguire is “not ready” but did not indicate that it was a significant injury, suggesting he could be ready to travel to London this weekend.

Possible return date: 30 November – Crystal Palace (A)

Benjamin Šeško

What happened: After coming off the bench against Tottenham, Benjamin Šeško had to exit the field after 30 minutes when he went down with a knee injury.

What was said: “He is going to be a few weeks out,” the United boss said. “Not that serious, we have to be careful. He is feeling better.” He also clarified that his return will be around the same time that Amad and Bryan Mbeumo head to the Africa Cup of Nations.

Possible return date: 15 December – Bournemouth (H)

Matheus Cunha

What happened: Matheus Cunha was ruled out of United’s fixture against Everton after suffering a minor head injury in training on Saturday.

What was said: Despite there being a level of worry when it was revealed Cunha had suffered an “accident” in training, reports surfaced confirming his absence was just a “precaution,” suggesting he will be fit to face Crystal Palace.

Possible return date: 30 November – Crystal Palace (A)
