Louis Saha urges Man United to complete ‘very exciting’ transfer for Premier League starlet

Louis Saha has urged Manchester United to complete a ‘very exciting’ transfer for one Premier League player this summer.

United are expected to begin their work in the transfer market following the end-of-season review which ended with INEOS deciding to keep Erik ten Hag at the club.

The Reds are reportedly interested in Bournemouth’s young left-back, Milos Kerkez to boost their squad.

The 20-year-old fullback has been identified as a potential option to provide competition and cover for Luke Shaw, who was injured for the latter half of the 2023/24 campaign.

Ten Hag was without a recognised left-back for the most-part of the season, with Tyrell Malacia also unavailable. INEOS are considering strengthening the position.

Louis Saha believes it would be the right move and he has been extremely impressed by Kerkez’s performances in the Premier League.

“Yes, you can only be impressed. He’s been very consistent and shown great quality against big teams, especially against Manchester United,” the former Reds striker told BetFred.

“I’m not surprised he’s been linked, and I won’t be surprised if he gets even better. He’s very, very young still and I’m surprised he was able to play that well in his debut campaign in the Premier League.

“He’s shown a lot of ability, and I’m sure he’s keen to improve, so it’s very exciting if Manchester United can complete this transfer because it would be great.”

Kerkez joined the Cherries from AZ Alkmaar in 2023 for an undisclosed fee and made 33 appearances for Andoni Iraola’s overachieving side last season.

The Hungary international, developed in AC Milan’s youth program, has been named in their Euro 2024 squad. Marco Rossi’s team will face Switzerland, Germany, and Scotland in their group fixtures in June.
