Manchester United have sent their scouts to watch an £87million-rated 19-year-old winger, who is on the radar of many elite European sides.
It looks set to be another busy summer for Manchester United, who will not be resting on their laurels as they push to cement themselves back amongst England’s top sides.
Michael Carrick has been at the helm for United’s recent resurgence in the Premier League, as his Reds have amassed a total of 19 points from a possible 24 since he entered the dugout at Old Trafford.
Having acquired the likes of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Šeško in the summer, United look likely to further bolster their attack once the season has ended, with them eyeing up one of Europe’s most sought-after talents.
If the Red Devils are to be successful in their push for a UEFA Champions League spot next season, then additional attacking reinforcement will be necessary, hence their fondness of RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande.
United scouting Diomande
As reported by well-established football insider Fabrizio Romano, United are monitoring the situation of 19-year-old winger Diomande ahead of a potential summer move.
Romano said, via Manchester World, “Yan Diomande is doing fantastic at Leipzig and my understanding is that Manchester United, already in January, sent their scouts several times to follow Yan Diomande.
“He will be one of the players being monitored again for sure, and let’s see if there is going to be more.
“Man United are looking at left wingers, and I’m sure there will be movement on this in the next months, waiting to understand who’s going to be the manager.”
United facing tough competition
It appears as if United may face some very tough competition in their pursuit of Diomande, as he is on the radar of many elite sides, such as Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Liverpool.
With nine goals and five assists in his first season in Germany, the teenager has quickly become one of Europe’s top prospects, due to his dynamic dribbling and his versatility.

The Red Devils look keen to add a versatile wing option to their squad ahead of what should be a far busier campaign next season, making Diomande an almost ideal option.
Whether it be surrounding United’s future manager, or where they finish in the Premier League, there are clearly many deciding factors regarding a deal for the talented Ivorian, so only time will tell whether it is a viable target for Carrick’s side.
