There have been warnings to Manchester United fans as updates on Leny Yoro and Rasmus Højlund’s injuries have been provided.

United’s third pre-season match against Arsenal on the weekend kicked off at a fast pace, with both teams generating early chances.

Rasmus Højlund opened the scoring within 20 minutes with a powerful run and finish, as Erik ten Hag’s men looked sharp and proactive on the ball. Mason Mount was a standout performer.

However, things quickly unravelled, with both Højlund and Leny Yoro having to come off in the first half due to injuries. The final score ended 2-1 in favour of the North London club.

This match marked Højlund’s first minutes back at the club since his exploits in the 2024 European Championships. Following the game, Ten Hag admitted that the club would have to wait at least 24 hours to assess the extent of the injuries.

He also noted that United must be very “careful” with Leny Yoro, as he has only completed half of the training sessions.

The results of those scans are yet to be confirmed, but Sky Sports reporter Melissa Reddy has provided mixed updates on the pair.

She detailed that Højlund was out in LA yesterday on a day off, and it appears that his issue is not too serious.

However, the feeling around the club is that there is ‘a lot more worrying’ surrounding Yoro’s situation.

“I have to admit that supporters would be right to have extra concern around Leny Yoro and the injury he sustained,” Reddy explained.

“Because there seems to be the feeling I get, what I can ascertain from people around the club, is that is a lot more worrying.

“Rasmus Hojlund should be fine. He’s been in good spirits. We saw him in the mixed zone afterwards.

“He’s been active on social media. The players had a day off in LA yesterday and he was able to go out and take in some sights.

“So, Rasmus, there is a general thinking that he’ll be okay, but Yoro is the update to watch now.”

Leny Yoro was also spotted on crutches on Tuesday, exiting training with a protective boot on.
