Leicester City vs Manchester United referee confirmed as Premier League confirm Championship official

The Premier League have confirmed who will officiate Manchester United’s upcoming fixture against Leicester City away from home on Sunday evening.
Manchester United return to Premier League action with a trip to Leicester City, as Rúben Amorim looks to build on a strong midweek display.
United were in excellent form on Thursday night, defeating Real Sociedad 4-1 to book their place in the Europa League quarter-finals, where they will face Olympique Lyonnais next month.
With that challenge still ahead, United now turn their attention back to domestic football, aiming to climb from 14th in the league table.
This match also brings a reunion with club legend Ruud van Nistelrooy, who managed United on an interim basis for four games before Amorim took charge in November. It will be the second time the two managers face each other this season.
United have already beaten Leicester three times this campaign, winning in the FA Cup, Carabao Cup, and Premier League—all at Old Trafford. However, this time, they face the Foxes at the King Power Stadium, making for a different challenge.
Confirmed officials
Thomas Bramall (pictured below) will be the referee on Sunday evening in Manchester. Bramall has officiated more Championship than Premier League matches this season, with eight in the second division and six in the first.
Bramall is yet to meet United this season and has never officiated a fixture of the 20-time English champions, but has officiated the club’s U21s team on seven occasions between 2015 and 2020.
So far this season, Bramall has issued 20 yellow cards in the Premier League and 56 across all competitions. He has issued one straight red card and two through yellow cards, as well as awarding three penalties this season, one coming in the Premier League.
During the game, Stuart Burt and Constantine Hatzidakis will serve as Bramall’s assistant referees. Craig Pawson will be the fourth official on Sunday afternoon, separating Amorim and Van Nistelrooy.
Alex Chilowicz has been appointed as the Video Assistant Referee. Simon Bennett will act as assistant VAR.
