Latest Team News: Manchester United vs Crystal Palace (Premier League)
Manchester United host Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, with Marcel Sabitzer set to make his debut for the club.
The Reds will be looking for an important three points in their return to league action, with closest top-four competitors Tottenham Hotspur hosting Manchester City on Sunday.
Should results go United’s way, Erik ten Hag’s men could be six points clear of fifth, with a game in hand on Antonio Conte’s side.
With a busy schedule upcoming, United have been boosted by the return of several first-team players.
Manchester United team news
Jack Butland will be ineligible to play in this fixture as he’s on loan at Old Trafford from Crystal Palace.
Diogo Dalot has returned to training this week and Ten Hag suggested that the right-back could return to the matchday squad for Saturday’s clash.
Meanwhile, Scott McTominay, Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek remain out of action, with new signing Marcel Sabitzer set to strengthen the midfield line in his first appearance in the squad.
Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho returned to the side last time out and should both be available for this encounter, making the forward line depth look much stronger than recent weeks.
Crystal Palace team news
The visitors will be without star man, and former United player, Wilfred Zaha. He’s unavailable for another couple of weeks according to Patrick Viera.
Nathan Ferguson, Joachim Andersen and James McArthur have also been ruled out despite progressing well in their return to action.
The south London side will be boosted by new January signings of Naouirou Ahamada and Albert Sambi Lokonga, however.
