Leeds United and Manchester United meet yet again after playing out an enthralling 2-2 draw at Old Trafford just four nights ago.

Wednesday’s four-goal draw left Manchester United third in the table on 43 points, while their manager-less hosts rose above West Ham United into 16th place.

The Red Devils fought back from being two goals down to secure a point on Wednesday. The game on Sunday, at Elland Road, is a must-not-lose encounter for both teams so as to aid their respective causes in the league standings.

With only one win in four in the Premier League, United could soon be looking over their shoulder in the race for a top-four finish while manager-less Leeds nudged up the table in their fight against relegation.

Manchester United

Antony, Anthony Martial, and Scott McTominay were all unable to participate in the 2-2 draw against Leeds on Wednesday due to injury. The boss does not anticipate that they will recover in time for Sunday’s match in West Yorkshire but also does not anticipate any further issues for the team.

“I don’t expect (them to be fit). We have a few days, but I don’t expect it,” Ten Hag stated at his pre-match press conference. “As of now, I don’t see any new problems arising.”

When asked about the availability of the trio for the trip to Barcelona next Thursday for the Europa League campaign, Ten Hag added, “I think the same answer applies, I can’t say for certain, but I don’t expect it.”

While Diogo Dalot has returned from his fitness concerns and earned his first league start since November, it is still unknown whether Aaron Wan-Bissaka has overcome the illness that prevented him from playing on Wednesday.

Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek will miss the remainder of the season due to long-term injuries, while Casemiro will face the second game of his three-match suspension.

Leeds United

Leeds’ point at Old Trafford came at quite the cost, as Luis Sinisterra trudged off with a hamstring strain just eight minutes in, while Pascal Struijk felt the full force of a Rashford effort and was withdrawn as a concussion substitution.

One of the caretaker managers, Michael Skubala has confirmed that Sinisterra could be okay to play, but concussion protocols will render Struijk unavailable – Junior Firpo should come in at left-back as a result, while Crysencio Summerville can feel confident of taking Sinisterra’s place in the final third.

Meanwhile, Liam Cooper and Marc Roca remain injury doubts over the weekend. As for the already-injured Adam Forshaw, Rodrigo, Archie Gray, and Stuart Dallas, they are all not expected to return for the game on Sunday.
