Manchester United may make a “big investment” move for Kenan Yildiz this summer with Juventus worried about the star’s transfer future.
It has been well publicised that Ruben Amorim is looking to completely overhaul his Manchester United side in this up-coming summer transfer window.
With no position looking irreplaceable, a whole host of players, both experienced and up and coming have been linked with a move to Old Trafford, with a number of the current squad looking to be playing their last few games in a United shirt.
The attacking sector of the pitch is one that needs drastic improvement, with players like Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund, and Joshua Zirkzee all underperforming in front of goal, and Kenan Yildiz is just one of the most recent players linked to The Theatre of Dreams.
With Juventus set to demand a large fee for their Turkish star, is this player one United should be going for?
Juventus’ stance on Yildiz
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, a few weeks ago, Juventus were worried about losing Yildiz in the summer due to his future in Turin hinging on the club’s qualification for the Champions League.
Fast forward to the present, the Bianconeri have sacked Thiago Motta, bringing in Igor Tudor in his stead, and returning the side into the top four after winning two out of his first three games.
Despite Yildiz signing a contract extension in the summer and adorning the prestigious no.10 shirt, Motta granted the 19-year-old fewer and fewer minutes. This situation gave hope to several clubs, with Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea all ready to make a “big investment” in the player.
United’s lack of financial power this summer is very clear, with the club looking to have as little as £20-30 million to spend this summer before all their departures.
While unsure of a fee that Juventus would demand, it has previously been reported that they value Yildiz upwards of £69 million.
Yildiz’s position at Juventus hangs in the balance, and with a number of signings that United need to make, they may be forced to move for someone else, but there is one possible way to get him for cheaper.
Could Hojlund be the makeweight?
It’s clear to see that Rasmus Højlund has had a torrid time at United as of late and could be one of the players on the chopping block at the end of the season, with there being a decent likelihood of getting some money back on their investment.

It was previously reported that Juventus were on of the Serie A sides linked with the Danish forward, looking for a paid loan with an option to buy, but there could be a possibility that United use Hojlund as part of a deal to land Yildiz.
Juventus may be more willing to do the move, with the club being very keen on having the Danish forward in time for the Club World Cup which start in just two months.
While Yildiz would certainly be a coup for Manchester United, the financial aspect, especially if Juventus get that all important Champions League qualification, may be too large on United.
