Juventus could look to sign another Manchester United player in January as their pursuit of Joshua Zirkzee is well-known.

Ruben Amorim confirmed to reporters this week that Manchester United need to sell to buy in the January transfer window.

The new boss at United has had a difficult start to life in the Premier League, with the club just seven points away from the relegation zone. The club have won just four games in his opening 11 fixtures in all competitions.

Some players have started to adapt well to the new system under Amorim but many others have failed to make a positive first impression and could be set to depart the club.

Juventus interested in Malacia loan

Juventus have been heavily linked with Joshua Zirkzee in the January transfer window but are also now eyeing a deal for the out-of-favour Tyrell Malacia.

That is according to Italian outlet Tutto Juve, who claim that Malacia is a potential ‘last minute idea’ for the Serie A giants, who want to sign him on loan this month.

It was further explained that the Dutchman is viewed at Juventus as a player with the same characteristics as Danilo, who is set to depart the club.

Juventus are ‘unconcerned’ about the injury issues Malacia has experienced at United after he missed almost 18 months due to a serious knee injury.

Malacia has made four appearances under Amorim but lasted more than 45 minutes just once, with the player having recently been left out of a squad due to ‘selection’.

He joined the Old Trafford outfit in the summer of 2022 for a fee of around £15 million.

Juventus chief addresses Zirkzee deal

Meanwhile, Juventus are also looking at Zirkzee, who has struggled since joining the Reds in the summer. He was a top target for the Italian side during that window.

Their appreciation in the player has remained, with his old Bologna boss Thiago Motta at the helm, and Juve’s management director Cristiano Giuntoli has refused to rule out a move for the 23-year-old.

“Zirkzee? It’s not appropriate to mention names, but we are keeping an eye on any interesting opportunities, and we will move to strengthen the defence,” Guintoli said, as per Football Italia.

However, a deal may be complicated as Zirkzee is determined to stay at Old Trafford and prove his worth under Amorim.
