Jurgen Klopp shows true colours in disgusting post-match interview after Man Utd defeat
Jurgen Klopp showed his true colours after mocking a reporter’s weight following Liverpool’s defeat against Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter-final.
Liverpool were beaten in the 120th minute by Erik ten Hag’s side, with Amad Diallo scoring the crucial winning goal for the hosts.
Klopp announced his end-of-season departure from Liverpool earlier this year, and since then, there has been a media frenzy about the Merseyside club.
They were fighting on all fronts before the game at Old Trafford, and after their Carabao Cup victory last month, but that came to an end with the 4-3 defeat against United.
Klopp, who is usually so well-mannered in his post-match interviews when he loses, reached a new low after mocking a ViaPlaySport reporter’s weight after the game.
Firstly asked about his player’s intensity in extra-time, Klopp said: “It’s a bit of a dumb question… we have played I don’t know how many games recently.
“I don’t know how many games United exactly play. I’m very disappointed about that question, but you thought it was good.”
The reporter then asked if Klopp believes that his team are playing too many games.
Klopp then unprofessionally commented on the body image of the interviewer, saying: “Come on, you are obviously not in a great shape and I have no nerves for you.”
United will face Coventry City in the semi-finals at Wembley, with Manchester City vs Chelsea being the other tie.
