Jules Kounde shares his thoughts on Barcelona’s new loan signing, Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, including an uncanny trait about his playing style.
As Marcus Rashford settles into a new life in Catalunya, his new teammates have been reacting to his playing style and dressing room behaviour.
Rashford has built a spectacular reputation in England, leading the line for Manchester United for nine years, on and off the pitch he has set an example for his peers.
Now playing his trade at Barcelona, the 27-year-old travels overseas with a massive media following, as journalists and social media accounts track his season in Spain.
Jules Konde revealed a unique perspective on the players’ conduct in an interview, as he welcomed his new teammate.
Kounde opens up on Rashford’s first week
In an interview with Spanish news outlet Sport, Kounde has opened up about the players’ English language skills and how he’s adapting to Spanish football.
“He’s [Rashford] a bit introverted, but he’s really enjoying himself, and feeling more and more comfortable,” Kounde explained.
Kounde, who signed from Sevilla in 2022, has become a mainstay in the Barcelona starting eleven since his incorporation into the side.
“I think he is happy. He is smiling a lot. He is happy in the field. He reminds me a little of myself.”
Rashford, who only left his boyhood club for the first time in January, will be touched to hear such welcoming words from a senior first-team figure.

From joining United at the age of seven to leaving in the winter transfer window for Premier League competitors Aston Villa, Rashford has never played football for a foreign club.
His personality is endearing, making him a national hero, which explains how he has warmed up so efficiently to life in Eastern Spain.
