Jude Bellingham reveals talks with Man United loanee Jadon Sancho ahead of Champions League final
Jude Bellingham has admitted that he has spoken with Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho ahead of the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund.
The Real Madrid star is looking to win his first European trophy after lifting La Liga with Los Blancos this season.
He will be up against his former team, Dortmund, in what is expected to be an emotional tie for the midfielder after making his name at Signal Iduna Park.
Bellingham worked alongside Sancho for the Bundesliga side, as he became the second young English talent to make the move to Dortmund. Sancho departed a year after Bellingham joined but they still developed a great friendship in that time.
Of course, Sancho has since returned to the German team on loan after Erik ten Hag exiled him from the Manchester United squad earlier this season. He now has the chance to make history for the club United initially bought him from.
“I’ve not been speaking with any of them [Dortmund players] this week,” Bellingham stated to HaytersTV this week.
He added, “When we first went through I got a little message from Jadon. So, I spoke with Sancho. Just saying: ‘I’ll see you there’ and all those kinds of things.
“Jadon’s always been someone who’s taken me under his wing when I first arrived at Dortmund. He’s a really good guy. He’s helped me a lot.”
Sancho’s future after the Champions League final is up in the air. He was chased by those at Old Trafford for several years, but it has yet to work out at United.
