Jose Mourinho has been linked with a possible sensational return to Manchester United, and the manager has explained what he would change at Old Trafford.

In a piece of breaking news on Wednesday afternoon, Jose Mourinho is said to be keen on making a sensational return to Manchester United.

It is claimed that he is keen to work with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the new INEOS regime at Old Trafford, with the Portuguese icon feeling he has “unfinished business” at the club.

He was originally sacked in December 2018 after a defeat to Liverpool, with Ole Gunnar Solskjær taking over at the helm.

Mourinho has ‘made it his mission’ to take charge at the Theatre of Dreams again should the opportunity arise. He was recently let go as manager of AS Roma, where he won the UEFA Conference League title.

Jose Mourinho has recently spoken about United, explaining that he feels there are still people at the club that he feels should be gotten rid of in order for the club to be successful.

“There are still people in that club, and when I say people, I mean some players but also some other people that are not players, that are still there when I told [United] after two months: ‘With these people, you are never going to do it.’ And they are still there,” he recently said on the Obi One podcast.

“At Manchester United, I changed a player at half-time… his agent was then accusing me of bullying.

“I had to change. I remember these times, and I laugh about these times, but it’s different times.”

A friend of Jose Mourinho told MailOnline: “His ambition is to return to United. He feels like he has unfinished business there, after how it ended last time, and he had made it his mission to go back.”
