Jamaica provide ‘one condition’ latest on Mason Greenwood’s international future
Mason Greenwood’s international future has been up for debate since his return to club football at the beginning of this campaign.
Manchester United, after announcing that Mason Greenwood would no longer play for the club, sent him on loan to Madrid-based Getafe CF for the forthcoming La Liga season.
Although Greenwood has played one competitive fixture for England, FIFA rules state that he is eligible to switch nationalities, provided that an approach from the Reggae Boyz is made.

Speaking on Greenwood, Jamaica’s head coach Heimir Hallgrímsson has explained that on the condition that he returns to his former playing level, he would happily accept the forward into his squad.
“I am no different from any coach in the world, we would like to have the best talents in our team,” said Hallgrímsson.
“If he returns to his former form and level, he is sure that he would have the level to help Jamaica.”
Greenwood has so far made five appearances for Getafe FC, providing one assist, and scored his first goal for his new club against Celta Vigo on the weekend.
He has made two starts for the club, a 2-2 draw against Athletic Bilbao and played 90 minutes in the fixture, and also started against Celta Vigo, where he played 61 minutes.
