Jadon Sancho sends two-word message to “non-believers” after reaching Champions League final
Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho has sent a two-word message to the “non-believers” after reaching the Champions League final with Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho, 24, rejoined Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window after being exiled from the United squad under Erik ten Hag.
While the Reds have been stumbling to the end of the season, Sancho has excelled with the Bundesliga side and helped knock out Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-final of the Champions League.
A first-leg Man of the Match performance from the Englishman was matched by a solid display away at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday evening.
The winger has turned his season around and now is prepared to face either Real Madrid or Bayern Munich at Wembley to try and win Europe’s elite competition.
Sancho responds to Dortmund story
On Borussia Dortmund’s Instagram after the game, a video was uploaded of Sancho celebrating the victory with an overlay of a well-known phrase from rapper Drake, who says:
“And to the rest of you, the non-believers, the underachievers, the tweet-and-deleters, you guys make me sick to my stomach, fam…”
Of course, this is a light-hearted jab at fans who had written Sancho off after his difficult spell at Old Trafford.
In the comment section of the post, Sancho simply responded: “LOL FACTS!”
Sancho’s success is good for him and United
No matter what your opinion is on Sancho and his actions at Old Trafford, it is undeniable that him turning his form around for Dortmund is good for all parties involved.
If he returns to the club, which seems unlikely, he will return with more confidence and, hopefully, a point to prove.
Should he depart, his recent form has certainly upped his value, which is important for United, who need to generate revenue from sales.
