Although the club are said to remain in talks with the Spaniard over the possibility of a new deal, Erikk ten Hag no longer considers De Gea his first-choice keeper and is exploring the market for a new No. 1.
Although United are yet to put in an official bid, Fabrizio Romano has stated that their verbal offer of a £39 million total package has been sent through.
Inter Milan are hoping for an offer worth just north of £50m, but are yet to officially reject United’s approach.
Andre Onana is said to be “keen” on a move to Old Trafford as he looks to join Erik ten Hag’s ranks.
There is no resolution on David de Gea’s future as of yet.
