INEOS add another star to Man United “untouchables” list after Bruno Fernandes decision
INEOS have added another Manchester United player to their “untouchables” list ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Reds completed the 2023/24 campaign with a victory in the FA Cup final against Manchester City. Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho scored the goals in a 2-1 win.
However, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the new Old Trafford leadership will not let Wembley’s success deter them from focusing on improving the club’s playing squad.
In fact, recent reports claimed that INEOS were open to discussing offers for every player barring three young talents.
Now, according to the Manchester Evening News, there are four players that the club are not open to offers for, with André Onana accompanying the young trio of Rasmus Højlund, Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo.
Onana joined the club at the start of the season and has had a mixed campaign under Erik ten Hag. When he was at Inter Milan, he was considered one of the best goalkeepers in Europe.
Of course, other players are also unlikely to leave despite a chunk of exits being expected. Bruno Fernandes is one player who now seems unlikely to depart despite prior rumours.
The club captain has ensured that he wants to stay at United. “I love to step out at Old Trafford more than anything in the world. I don’t want to leave. This has always been my ultimate dream.
“I just want my expectations to fit with the expectations of the club.”
Fernandes had positive talks with INEOS about their vision, and reports have stated that United are confident he will stay at Old Trafford.
