Important message Manchester United have told Benjamin Sesko as RB Leipzig striker now ‘favours Old Trafford move’

Manchester United have communicated an important message to RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko as they consider signing him this summer.

With a deal for Bryan Mbeumo on the verge of completion, Manchester United will soon turn their attention towards signing a centre-forward.

Ruben Amorim will be delighted by the additions of Matheus Cunha and Mbeumo; two players who will completely turn around United’s attacking unit.

But there remains a desire for a natural no.9 to join the club, with the Reds experiencing major difficulties in the position last term with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee playing there.

There are various options for that position, including Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins, but it appears that United are also considering re-activating their interest in RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko.

What United have told Sesko

Sesko, 22, has been regularly linked with an Old Trafford move in recent years but a deal has never been able to materialise, partly due to his hefty valuation.

According to the latest reports from GiveMeSport, United have been in contact with the player again this year after following him for three years.

It was explained that Sesko would favour a move to United over other destinations this summer. Arsenal were recently working on a deal but negotiations were described as ‘really complicated’ and they have moved on.

United have told Sesko and other targets that they have to now sell in order to buy after spending over £130 million on Cunha and Mbeumo.

United making slow progress on sales

Although there are still no confirmed sales to report at Manchester United, there appears to be some movement behind the scenes in recent days, suggesting that developments may soon materialise.

Juventus have reportedly submitted two bids for Jadon Sancho, indicating strong interest in securing the services of the 25-year-old winger. The Italian giants seem determined to bring him to Serie A as they look to bolster their attacking options.

In addition, reports have emerged suggesting that Aston Villa are weighing up a potential bid for Alejandro Garnacho. The young Argentine talent has expressed a clear preference to remain in the Premier League.

Elsewhere, Marcus Rashford and Antony are both said to be awaiting further progress on their respective ambitions to move abroad. Rashford is reportedly keen on a switch to Barcelona, while Antony has his sights set on Real Betis. However, no significant breakthroughs have been made in either case as of yet.

As for Tyrell Malacia, his situation remains unchanged with no meaningful updates at this stage.
