“I’m tired…” Roy Keane continues endless tirade on Michael Carrick’s team in latest rant over Man Utd star

Roy Keane has given his bizarre opinion regarding the recent praise for Manchester United striker Benjamin Šeško, following his late equaliser against West Ham.

Manchester United brought in Slovenian forward Benjamin Šeško during their summer spending spree as they looked to make their goalscoring concerns a thing of the past.

The 22-year-old forward came into the side to replace the struggling Rasmus Højlund, who is currently spending the season on loan at Napoli in Italy.

Since joining United, Šeško has scored six goals in the Premier League, with two of these coming in the last two games, where he has come off the bench to secure an extra four points for the Reds.

Following the young attacker’s recent form as a super substitute under Michael Carrick, Roy Keane has controversially spoken about the praise being sent to Šeško, labelling it as ‘what he’s supposed to do’.

This is not the first time the former United midfielder has launched into tirades against Carrick’s men, having previously blasted the current United boss for his lack of experience.

Keane shuts down Šeško praise

When speaking on The Overlap, the Irishman had a lot to say after hearing the praise that his co-stars were sending in the direction of Šeško.

“Sorry, but is that what he’s supposed to do, if you know what I mean?” said Keane. “I’m tired of you saying that he’s supposed to do something, and you score a goal and everyone… Man United, expectations, you’re like Ryanair.

“If a flight’s on time, everyone’s f***ing laughing and joking, but usually you’re gonna be two hours late, and then everyone thinks that’s the norm…

“Šeško is like Ryanair. You know when they land, and they play the music, ‘we landed on time.’ That’s Šeško and United. It’s what he’s supposed to do.”

Šeško deserving rightful praise

A common trend not just at United but among most Premier League sides is that their new attackers typically have to hit the ground running to avoid scrutiny.

A young striker such as Šeško, who has actually managed to fit into the style of the top-flight quite well since his arrival, deserves to be praised for doing so, as opposed to having his plaudits stripped from him.

The striker position has predominantly been a problem area for the Reds since the days of Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie, so any striker who shows a level of hunger and promise should be uplifted in order to succeed.

Having helped to keep United’s unbeaten streak under Carrick alive, the Slovenian will surely have earned himself a spot in the starting XI, where he can hopefully manage to keep his form going.
