In June 2023, Manchester United winger Antony’s girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin, is said to have filed a police report for domestic abuse against the Brazilian winger earlier this month.

Manchester United paid just under £90 million for Antony from Ajax in August 2022, with Erik ten Hag keen to bring the winger to the club.

Antony had a mixed first season at Old Trafford, however, it was revealed that he has been accused of domestic abuse on four separate occasions by his girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin.

Cavallin has spoken further on the details during an interview with Record TV, where she said she first suffered the abuse in Brazil last year.

“He held me by both arms, threw me on the bed and fell on top of me,” she explained. “At that, my silicone prosthesis dislocated. At the time, it gave me such a shortness of breath that it looked like I was going to die.”

She then added that she needed 40 stitches in the inner part of her breast following the incident – she also detailed that Antony threatened that they and their unborn son would “die” if she left him. She suffered a miscarriage in June 2022 and claimed that Antony didn’t let her leave the house.

She added: “He broke my suitcase, took my handbag, my passport. He broke my mobile phone, he wouldn’t let me go.

“I was a prisoner from 10 pm to almost 3.30 am. I call it private captivity. I just wanted to get out of there and he told me that I wouldn’t leave until I erased everything.

“I think his mother called his physiotherapist and asked for help. No one could control it.”

Cavallin also confirmed she would file claims against the winger, who has declined to comment, as per Uol Esporte.

“I’ll do whatever it takes,” she said, speaking about filing claims against the winger.

“I’ll go to England to report the assault, failure to help, false imprisonment, psychological abuse, everything he did to me.”
