Manchester United return to Premier League action this weekend with an important clash against rivals Manchester City.

Rúben Amorim is gearing up Manchester United for a crucial Premier League showdown against Manchester City, a significant test in the early days of his tenure as head coach.

United head into the match following a 2-1 comeback win over Viktoria Plzeň in the Europa League, with substitute Rasmus Højlund scoring both goals.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s side are experiencing a challenging run of form, with just one victory in their last ten matches across all competitions.

Part of that embarrassing record includes Amorim’s Sporting beating the Blues 4-1 in the Champions League before his move to Old Trafford.

The Portuguese boss will once again be looking to take advantage of City’s struggles and provide a Derby victory for his side, who are in desperate need of points to lift them up the Premier League table.

Everything you need to know to follow this much-anticipated clash can be read below.

Kick-off time & venue

United have one less day of preparation than their rivals for this Sunday afternoon clash, with kick-off coming at 16:30 BST.

Amorim’s side will also be travelling across to the Etihad Stadium. They have lost their last three away games against City but have won five of their last 10 visits there.

TV channel & livestreams

In the United Kingdom, the game will be available to watch live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football, while international coverage and livestreams can be found here.

The UtdDistrict X account will also cover the fixture, providing quotes from Amorim and the players before and after the match.

Latest team news

Amorim almost has a full squad of players to chose from for this game, with Luke Shaw the only first-team absence heading into the weekend.

“I think everyone is going to be fit and ready to win the game,” he told reporters this week after confirming that Jonny Evans has returned to training.

Amorim has been strict on his rotation so far at United as he looks to navigate the less-than-ideal fitness levels of the squad.

Rasmus Højlund has undoubtably secured his starting position in the team after his brace in the Europa League coming off the bench.

Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo are also likely to come back into the team after being rested against Viktoria Plzeň.
