Marcus Rashford has started the season very well at Barcelona and reports claim that he has impressed his teammates in Spain.
Manchester United’s 2025/26 campaign has begun in dismal fashion, with head coach Ruben Amorim already under heavy pressure.
The Reds have scraped just two wins from their opening seven fixtures, and a bruising defeat to Brentford last time out only deepened the crisis.
In stark contrast, Marcus Rashford is flourishing on loan at Barcelona. After a slow start, the forward has hit form with assists in four consecutive La Liga matches and a brilliant brace against Newcastle in the Champions League and an assist against PSG.
Barcelona hold an option to make the deal permanent next summer, though many still question how Rashford’s Old Trafford career unravelled so badly in the first place.
How Rashford has impressed Barcelona teammates
According to a new report from Sport, there were some initial doubts from within Barcelona about the move for Rashford.
But it was claimed that his new teammates have been impressed by his attitude in training since he first arrived in Spain.
Rashford has shown a ‘big effort’ to adapt and fit into the young and exciting squad Barcelona have and he is starting to thrive on the pitch too.
The United loanee is working alongside some of the most talented young players in the world, with Pedri and Lamine Yamal the standout talents at the Camp Nou.
Amorim criticised Rashford’s training
Ironically, training performances were the main reason why Amorim decided against using Rashford last season before his loan move to Aston Villa.
“It’s always the same reason. The reasons is the training, the way I see what a footballer should do,” Amorim said in January.
“In training, in life and it’s every day, every detail. So if things don’t change [with Rashford], I will not change [his view on Rashford].”

So now, with Rashford shining in Barcelona training, was Amorim lying? That’s unlikely. It seemed like Rashford needed a new challenge and environment to thrive.
Change was needed for Rashford and he is now looking to prove many people wrong as he aims for the top trophies with Barcelona this season.
