“He is going to go…” – Transfer expert makes bold claim about Manchester United star this summer

A recent report has suggested that one of Manchester United’s star players is nearing an exit after a frustrating Europa League final has left him with ‘one foot out the door’.

A 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final has topped off what has been the worst Manchester United campaign in decades, and has left many wondering what the future holds for the club.

It is fair to say that Ruben Amorim’s first six months as the United manager have been nothing short of disastrous, and this summer needs to be a turning point for the club.

In order to make the necessary signings to climb back to the top end of the table, United may have to sacrifice a few of their big names to free up some funding.

This being said, one star in particular was left incredibly frustrated after the Europa League final, and is seemingly nearing the exit door in the coming months.

Garnacho’s future up in the air

When United in Focus spoke to Graeme Bailey, the transfer expert admitted that an Alejandro Garnacho exit is “not just a possibility” but very likely.

Bailey said, “He has got one foot out the door and I would be staggered if he is still with United in August. The interest is there, he wants to go and there has been an understanding since January that he doesn’t really fit into Amorim’s system.

“Napoli like him, Atletico still like him a lot and were there watching him in the final last night along with Cristian Romero, and don’t rule Chelsea out of the equation. But yeah, he is going to go.”

An exit could definitely be on the cards for United’s academy graduate, and they are expected to accept offers in the region of £50m this summer.

Garnacho exit to free up funds

Now that Champions League football is off the cards for Amorim’s side, controversial exits such as Garnacho could be on the horizon at the club.

Despite potentially losing some very talented stars, this summer could present United with an opportunity to rebuild and essentially start from scratch.

Losing academy stars such as Garnacho will be a difficult sight for some United fans, but it could be the type of sale that allows a signing such as Matheus Cunha to come the other way.

After a dismal season on all fronts, many are fearing the worst for what the future may hold for United, but an attacking refresh could be exactly what they need to start seeing some success again.
