Four Man Utd stars to return after international break, Ruben Amorim will have selection headache
Manchester United entered the international break after several promising performances that Ruben Amorim will want to build on when club football returns.
After extreme difficulties in finding consistency at Manchester United, Ruben Amorim saw his team put together some solid displays.
Winning over two-legs against Real Sociedad in the Europa League was comfortable, while a draw in the Premier League against Arsenal felt like two points dropped for United despite the positions of the two teams.
The final game before the international break was a 3-0 win over Leicester City, where Amorim’s men showcased a good performance.
While the international break hasn’t come at the best time for the team to be building on their momentum, it will allow several players to get important rest and hopefully give time for others to return from the treatment table.
Four United players set to return after international break
Amorim has a handful of important players unavailable at the moment, with Ayden Heaven being the most recent star to suffer injury.
However, the Reds do not return to action until 1 April now, with an away trip to high-flying Nottingham Forest, and some of those not available could be back for that game.
Defensive duo Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro will be back available for the game after suffering short-term injuries.
Meanwhile, the timeline of Kobbie Mainoo’s injury also suggests he will be back in contention for that game against Forest.
Finally, the Portuguese boss will once again have Patrick Dorgu available for selection in the Premier League after he served his three-game domestic suspension.
Amorim set for selection headache in United defence
It will be very useful for Amorim to have players back available to the team but that will also lead to a selection headache for the boss.
Particularly in the back three, where United have several options to play. Matthijs de Ligt is a mainstay in that backline.

Noussair Mazraoui has also been impressing when operating as a wide centre-back, and there is no need for him to play at wingback with Dorgu back available in the Premier League.
Maguire and Yoro both looked very solid in their recent appearances but the pair will likely be fighting for a position in the backline alongside Mazraoui and De Ligt when club football returns.
